The half ponytail is officially back in fashion but this time with a slight twist

The new style to wear your hair this spring is up in a half ponytail. Although this time it has been given a make-over; instead if pulling the ponytail to the back of your head it's better to wear it on top of your head. This can work perfectly with either wavy or straight hair.

The thinking behind this style is to make your hair look fuller and thicker and also draws more attention to your face. Ariana Grande (actress and singer) is also rumoured to have started the trend. She is a very popular singer; said to be growing in popularity at an incredible rate. Her trademark hairstyle (of 2013/2014) is a half ponytail, a clipped back side fringe and soft waves. Even through her half ponytail is quite a bit lower down on her head then the common trend her style could have been the kick start for the high half ponytail. Being a fairly new, extremely popular singer she has featured in many magazines. This could be the reason why so many teenage girls have opted for this style.
